Robert bought a ring. He didn't buy it for himself, and he did not buy it today, but this was the first I'd heard of it. It's an engagement ring, and it looks beautiful, at least based on his description. He said that he does not yet have a plan for exactly when or how he will present it. He will when the moment is right, and it will be good.
We were in the same meeting this morning. This does not happen very often anymore, making it a pleasant surprise for us. We, of course, sat close together, even though there were many empty seats around the table. Robert did not seem to mind. The meeting ran long, into the lunch hour, so we grabbed a quick lunch from the same place and ate in the cafeteria, not alone. We sat close together then, too, as we did on the way home, when we took the same bus.
